During the educational activity in Mariupol, partnership relations have already been formed between the Donetsk State University of Management and public authorities and local authorities of Mariupol Society. 

DSUM is the executor of the Government Order for the training of “B” and “С” category civil servants and officials of all categories in the local self-government bodies. The National Agency for Civil Service of Ukraine approves general advanced training programmes, and special advanced training programmes are developed by order of the relevant government and local government divisions. Training is carried out in full-time and distance mode.Depending on the programme category, participants will receive certificates or certificate of training as a result of the training.

Certification Training Programme “Public governance for sustainable development”
Focus group: for civil servants of “B” and “C” categories, local government officials and persons at elected positions in local government authorities (at least once every three years)

The goal: To improve the ability of civil servants to solve problems and problems in the field of public administration and management to create conditions for sustainable development in Ukraine.

Subjects: public policy in the conditions of democratic development, sustainable development policy in Ukraine, strategic management in the public sphere, public service reform, political institutions and processes for sustainable development in Ukraine, modern social and humanitarian challenges on the principles of sustainable development, economy and public finance in the processes of ensuring sustainable development in Ukraine, law in public administration, e-commerce and e-democracy, leadership in democratic management.
Certification Training Programme “Democratic development of local self-government”
Focus group: for persons who were first appointed to public service positions of “B” or “C” category (within one year from the date of their appointment), first appointed to local self-government positions (within one year from the date of their appointment) and persons first elected to elective office of local self-government authorities (within one year after acquisition of powers)

The goal: to increase the ability of civil servants to solve problems and problems in the field of public administration and management in order to create conditions for democratic development at the level of local self-government in Ukraine.

Subjects: Public policy in democratic development, sustainable development goals in democratic transformation, strategic management in local government, political institutions and processes in a democratic society, social and humanitarian challenges in a democratic society, e-commerce and e-democracy, leadership in democratic management.
Certification Training Programme “The formation of civil competence in the civil service”
Focus group: civil servants and representatives of local self-government authorities

The goal: Certification training of civil servants' representatives and local government representatives on the development of civil competencies of civil servants.

Subjects: Education for democratic citizenship and HR education as a means of promoting democracy, democratic citizenship and democratic governance as leading trends in society, democracy: content and characteristics, modern democracies, democratic societies and democratic governance, education for democratic citizenship and HR education, competency-based approach in professional education in the civil service and local self-government officials, structure of civil competencies of civil servants and local government officials.
Certification Training Programme of civil servants and local government officials on corruption prevention issues
Focus group: civil servants and representatives of local self-government authorities

The goal: to improve the qualifications of civil servants and representatives of local authorities on the issues of corruption prevention and ways to implement anti-corruption policy in Ukraine; legislation of Ukraine and foreign countries on the organization of the activities of local authorities; prevention of corruption, counteracting the manifestations of corruption and eliminate the consequences of corruption-related offences.

Subjects: Legal Basics and Practical Aspects of Corruption Prevention. Anti-corruption policy. Anti-corruption authorities: international and national levels.
Certification Training Programme "Prevention and overcoming of professional burnout syndrome in the activities of civil servants and local government employees"
Focus group: for civil servants of “B” or “C” category and persons in elected positions of local self-government authorities (at least once every three years)

The goal: Acquaintance with the phenomenon of professional burnout; factors contributing to its occurrence and ways to prevent and reduce its negative impact on the performance of civil servants.

Subjects: Features and problems of professional burnout in the civil service, time-management, the conception of the content, structure and main manifestations of the syndrome of "professional burnout", methods for the diagnosis of "professional burnout" syndrome, art practices to overcome and prevent professional burnout, rules of psychological safety to avoid burnout, professional ethics, business communication, techniques of self-control, stress as a resource.
Certification Training Programme “Sociological Support for Management Decisions”
Focus group: for civil servants of “B” or “C” category and persons in elected positions of local self-government authorities (at least once every three years)

The goal: to develop professional competences of civil servants and persons holding elective positions in local self-government authorities through mastering theoretical and practically oriented knowledge on sociological support of making effective public administration decisions, mastering skills of organizing and implementing sociological research in the sphere of public administration.

Subject: Theoretical and methodological bases of public administration decision-making organization and conduct of sociological research in the field of public administration.
Certification Training Programme for Civil Servants and Local Self-Government Officials whose posts are classified as the first to fourth category of posts at local self-government authorities
Focus group: for civil servants whose positions belong to 1-5 groups of remuneration and local government officials

The goal: to form a complex of professional competence in the system of public management and administration and electronic management using the latest information and communication technologies of Ukraine in the conditions of reforming and implementation of European principles as the principles on which the European management is based, and the regularities according to which it is carried out.
