The Center for International Cooperation at DSUM (CIC) is a space where sound ideas and projects are generated.
The international activities of the University have been supported and coordinated by the International Relations Office, which was established in 1995. Today it has grown into a full-fledged Center for International Cooperation with the best European traditions of performance.
We thoroughly build and support the University international cooperation and devotedly drive internationalization with a multidimensional and interdisciplinary vision.
Among our key roles:
- Representing and promoting the University nationally and internationally
- Establishing links for international collaboration
- Assisting academia in international research cooperation
- Coordinating and providing support to the joint international projects
- Providing support to the double degree programs
- Dealing with enquiries from international students
- Administrating and managing academic mobility programs
- Supporting visits of the overseas delegations and scholars.
International relations of DSUM include cooperation with higher education institutions and organizations in Europe and wider world. The University partners include: University of Salerno (Italy), University of Genoa (Italy), University of Craiova (Romania), University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), University of Glasgow (Scotland), the Central Mining Institute in Katowice (Poland), Caucasus University in Tbilisi (Georgia), Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan) and others.
We have a wide range of international links and partnerships that enable our students and lecturers to participate in international education and research network. We offer support and expertise to the academic departments throughout the University to promote their international activities.
We are active in a number of cooperation programmes such as USAID, TEMPUS, Erasmus + KA1, KA2, Erasmus +Jean Monnet, the Visegrad Fund, Fulbright, British Council, DAAD, Conrad Adenauer Fund. As a result of the projects implementation new academic units and centers have been established: Jean Monnet Center of Excellence of European Studies, University of the Third Age Education, Center of Leadership, Quality Assurance Center in Education to name a few.
The CIC staff are professionals in various fields with extensive international experience, they ready to share their expertise and assist in academic international pursuits. They help students and lecturers with a successful start either in study abroad program or international research project.
