Ever since 1994 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) accompanies the political and economical transformation process of Ukraine. To this end, the Foundation has already implemented more than 500 projects aimed at supporting democratic development, strengthening civil society, enhancing the freedom of the media and consolidating democratic institutions. The Kiev office provides an opportunity to establish direct contacts of Ukrainian politicians with Germany and Europe. KAS also works with democratic political parties in Ukraine and their youth organisations. Additionally, an important part of Foundation’s work concerns fostering young politicians and talented students.

In 2020, the DSUM research proposal was granted by the Foundation:
Life on the temporarily occupied territories through the eyes of student youth
The sociological study will be based on in-depth interviews with students of the Mariupol higher educational institutions, who have been recently enrolled in the universities via the “Donbas Ukraine” Program for the residents of temporarily occupied territories
